West Brom came through the battle of the two Championship sides in tonight's FA Cup third-round replays beating Charlton 4-3 on penalties at the Hawthorns.
Roman Bednar gave the Baggies the opener after 30 minutes as he ushered the ball over the line from close range after Jonathan Greening's deep cross was headed back across goal.
Luke Varney missed a clear opening for the visitors before James Morrison sent a skidding strike into the bottom corner early in the second half.
