Arsene Wenger has called for Arsenal fans to go easy on Ashley Cole when the Chelsea defender faces his former club on Sunday.
Cole is set for a torrent of abuse from the visiting supporters in his first match against his former Gunner's team-mates following his controversial switch to Stamford Bridge in September.
According to newspaper reports, a section of Arsenal fans will wave fake Russian notes and inflatable mobile phones at Cole.
The gesture relates to a story in Cole's biography when he revealed his shock at Arsenal offering him £55,000 a week, £5,000 short of what he was expecting.
But Wenger said despite Cole's acrimonious move to their London rivals, his relationship with the England international is "okay".
Wenger added: "But don't forget he did well at this club and you must respect that. In the end he got the move to Chelsea he wanted.
"We want him to continue his career in a decent way and go as far as he can, which I'm sure he will. I'm sure he will do. On our side we respect what he's done for the club.
"We already appreciate what he has done for the club and what the club has done for him, but sometimes you have disagreements with people.
Both clubs have backed a campaign to eject fans who hurl homophobic chants during games.
An Arsenal statement read: "Those of you attending the Chelsea game will know there are a number of actions planned against individuals at Chelsea by a small minority of Arsenal fans.
"The club would like all supporters to be aware that anyone found to be bringing in inflatable mobile phones or fake bank notes will be either refused entry or ejected from the ground.
"Arsenal do not tolerate any foul or abusive behaviour and we are working closely with both Chelsea and the relevant authorities to ensure that Sunday's match will be played in a safe and positive environment."
Chelsea go into Sunday's showdown ten points ahead of the Gunners after 15 games.
