Wenger: Ban the divers

Arsene Wenger urged the FA to start banning divers if the crime is to be stamped out of English football.
Wenger is all too aware that his own club have been accused of going down theatrically in the past but makes the point that managers cannot accuse their own players.
He suggested that banning guilty players was the only way the problem would be solved.
Shaun Wright-Phillips is the latest player to reignite the diving debate after his blatant tumble secured the dismissal of Robbie Elliott in the FA Cup tie between Chelsea and Newcastle this week.
Wenger said: "We have to fight it and there is only one way to punish people diving obviously: suspension. Once it is in the game it is difficult to get it out. Once a guy knows he might be punished he will not dive.
"We are all managers who can never say that one of our players has not dived. Nobody can say that in our league. I can say that when my team are not involved I am 100% against it."
Wright-Phillips has come under intense fire from the Newcastle players and the caretaker manager Glenn Roeder for his ungentlemanly conduct in the cup.
