Real Madrid have signalled their interest in more Premier League stars, this time in the form of Chelsea full back Ashley Cole.

Cole may be interested in the approach as he has found himself disillusioned with life at Stamford Bridge following damaging revelations about his private life and the disciplinary action conducted by Chelsea as a result.

Madrid will make Manchester United full back Patrice Evra their back up should their offer for Cole fail.

David Beckham has been told that he can rejoin AC Milan next season once he has returned from his Achilles injury. Beckham has been told this by AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani following the midfielders injury on the weekend.

He said: "He said: "David will probably be out for five to six months. I saw him suffering.

"I gave him a hug in the changing rooms and I told him that if he wants, next year he will be with us. He came to Milan to be called up by England boss Fabio Capello. Unfortunately, this is football but Beckham has great willpower."
