Warwickshire piled on the runs at Fenners in the traditional county versus Cambridge University early season game.
Cambridge lost the toss and Warwickshire chose to bat in the cool spring conditions. They were able to make the most of their time in the middle with a series of big hits and compiled 380 for 4 by the close of play.
Nick Knight and Ian Westwood opened brilliantly for the county side, Knight fell with the total just one short of 150 runs.
The former England batsman was trapped lbw by Mohammad Amin on 79 runs and Westwood batted his way to 124.
Jonathan Trott made a useful 55 and Michael Powell is unbeaten on 52 with the dangerous Scot Dougie Brown waiting to resume in the morning on 33.
In the Essex against Loughborough match the county side are on 422 for 3 with Zimbabwean Andy Flower and James Foster both not out with their centuries already collected.
Bradford/Leeds UCCE are also under the kosh with Yorkshire on a daunting 546 for 7 with three Yorkshire batsmen reached their centuries.
Cardiff University fared better in a rain affected match against Sussex, reaching 118 for 3 at the close of play today.
Derbyshire declared on 321 for 4 against Oxford University and the students have already lost a wicket in response at 8 for 1. Surrey made 375 for 4 against Durham University.
