Joe Calzaghe's former promoter Frank Warren has urged the unbeaten Welsh boxer to retire from the sport following his win over Roy Jones Jr at the weekend.
Calzaghe took his career record to 46 consecutive wins with a unanimous points victory over the highly-rated American veteran at New York's Madison Square Garden, despite being floored in the first round.
Despite claiming in the run-up that his fight against Jones would be his final bout before hanging up his gloves, the 36-year-old has since suggested he could be tempted to prolong his glittering career.
But Warren, who had been in charge of Calzaghe for 12 years until they split earlier this year, urged the middleweight to stick with his original choice.
"Before the fight he was saying it was his last fight and now he's saying he's not sure," Warren told the BBC.
"I believe he'll fight on. I would like to see him retire. He's got nothing else to prove and he's without doubt the greatest super-middleweight of all time."
Warren remains in no doubt that Calzaghe is one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport - claiming the Newbridge-based southpaw is "the best British boxer since the war".
"His record speaks for itself," the promoter continued.
"They say that fighters are the last people to know when it's time to give up.
"But I think they're also the last ones to admit it, and that's what he needs to do."
