Portsmouth's financial woes have hit a new low today after the plug was pulled on their official website because the club failed to pay an employee's wages.
Visitors to the site are now greeted by a blank, white screen with the words "Website Unavailable" in simple font, rather than the complex Flashplayer-driven site that had been online.
A spokesperson for the club has confirmed the site is not available to the general public and "has been taken off-line after we failed to adhere to an agreed payment structure".
Speculation suggests an outside company, who are one of Pompey's current list of creditors, was in charge of the upkeep of the site and have decided to withdraw their services because they have not received payment on a number of bills.
The latest development is another blow to the Fratton Park outfit, who are facing a winding-up order next month.
Portsmouth were also recently denied £7 million of their TV revenue from the Premier League, which was withheld to pay off some of their footballing creditors.
The loss of their website, even temporarily, could end up costing the club several thousand pounds in lost revenue from advertisers.
