Arsene Wenger is convinced that Arsenal have peaked just in time for the Champions League final against Barcelona.
The two clubs will clash tomorrow night in Paris and Wenger believes that his players are confident enough to upset the odds and take Europes ultimate prize.
Arsenal started the season poorly and lost a staggering 11 matches in the Premiership in their worst season under Wenger.
But as their domestic campaign crumbled, they managed to embark on their best ever run in the Champions League - the team usually so bad in Europe finally found their feet and Wenger believes they have timed their form perfectly.
The Gunners boss said: "I always believed there was something special about this team. They have a combination of humility, hunger, strength, togetherness and talent. We have worked hard and improved a lot - now we want to finish the job.
"When you get to the final you want to take the cup home and I am convinced we are ready for the challenge. We have peaked at the right moment."
Wenger was also delighted that the cup final will be contested by Europe's two most free-flowing attacking teams.
He said: "I love football and I think everybody in Europe wanted this final. It is a pleasure for people who love football."
Barcelona will start the game as slight favourites due in the main part to the superb talents of their world player of the year Ronaldinho.
