Wasps won a fourth place decider with Gloucester with a 37-32 points win to ensure that they will be involved in the end of season play-offs.
The pulsating game had brilliant tries from both sides. Anthony Allen set the tone with a superb effort to get Gloucester off to a great start.
Wasps fought back before the interval and went in 20-8 up after tries from Mark van Gisbergen and Joe Worsley.
At the start of the second half Gloucester steamed into the lead with three super tries. Allen, Ryan Lamb and James Bailey all crossed the line and Wasps were in trouble.
Paul Sackey and Worsley reacted strongly and propelled Wasps back towards the play-offs with a try each before the end of the game.
Wasps' Lawrence Dallaglio said: "It was a fantastic game of rugby. We played very well at times, and we made mistakes at others, but you are not champions for three years' running without having a fighting spirit.
"We showed a lot of heart and courage, and we are now in there with a shout. Winning here will give us real confidence going into our toughest challenge of the season so far."
Wasps will now enter the play-offs where they will hope to emulate recent seasons to take a fourth straight Premiership title.
