Nottinghamshire have kept their title hopes alive with a 19-run win over Middlesex in Division One of the NatWest Pro40 at Lord's.

After being put into bat, the Outlaws posted 180 in their 40 overs with Graeme Swann top-scoring with 33 off 32 balls.

Skipper Bilal Shafayat made 31 while South African Ashwell Prince hit 25. Phil Murtagh was the pick of the Crusaders bowlers with 3-42 while Dirk Nannes and Tyron Henderson took two wickets apiece.

In reply, the home side were skittled out for 161 despite 39 from Eoin Morgan. England's star batsmen struggled with Andrew Strauss out for 13 while Owais Shah managed just 12.

Spinner Swann capped off a fine all-round display with 3-27 while Samit Patel and Mark Ealham finished with two wickets each.

The win for Nottinghamshire keeps them in second place and they have two games in hand over leaders Hampshire, while Middlesex slip to the bottom of the table.

Elsewhere, the weekend's showers prevented any play in the three other matches.

Durham's clash with Lancashire was abandoned with no result. In Division Two, Leicestershire's match with Northamptonshire at Grace Road abandoned with both sides awarded one point each.

And Division Two leaders Essex's match away to Warwickshire at Edgbaston was abandoned with no result.
