Prince Harry will become the vice-patron of England's Rugby Football Union (RFU) prior to the national team playing Wales in the Six Nations later today.
Reports say the Prince will also be named as a patron of the RFU's Injured Players' Foundation, and will meet the players before the game with his brother Prince William.
RFU president John Owen said: "We are delighted and privileged that Prince Harry has become vice-patron of the RFU.
"He has been a great supporter of English rugby, from working with us in 2004 as a level one coach to supporting our successful bid to host the 2015 Rugby World Cup."
Today's Six Nation's fixture between Wales and England marks their 100th clash at the Twickenham stadium.
