More than 100 firefighters have now brought under control a huge fire in London which engulfed a restaurant and office block.
The London fire brigade (LFB) was called to the incident at a four-storey building in Tabernacle Street in Shoreditch just after 04:30 GMT this morning.
The Metropolitan police service said in a statement: "It is understood the fire started at the Sosho Restaurant before spreading to neighbouring buildings.
"There are no reported injuries at this stage.
"It is too early to confirm the cause of the fire, however officers from Islington CID will liaise with the [London fire brigade] fire investigation unit."
A number of roads in the area have been cordoned off, the Met added, and it is believed a total of 20 fire engines were on the scene to tackle the flames this morning. Smoke could be seen from as far away as Liverpool Street.
A spokesperson for the LFB said earlier: "Twenty fire engines, four aerial appliances and around 100 firefighters are attending a blaze at a bar/restaurant and the floors above it on Tabernacle Street in Shoreditch this morning.
"The brigade was called at 04:32 GMT.
"Firefighters from Shoreditch and other surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
"The cause of the fire is not known at this stage."
