Favourite Inglis Drever made history at the Cheltenham festival today by claiming a third World Hurdle win.

Jockey Denis O'Regan rode Inglis Drever to the win, with Kasbah Bliss in second and Kazal in third.

The 11-8 favourite, who won the title in 2005 and in 2007, was chased hard by Kasbah Bliss, ridden by Christophe Pieux, but the Howard Johnson-trained horse grabbed the lead on the final hurdle and never looked back.

Owned by Andrea and Graham Wylie, Inglis Drever is coming towards the end of his racing career, Johnson revealed.

"It feels great, he missed a year and he's come good again. All credit to the horse firstly," he said.

"I'll have a word with Graham at the end of the season and if he's a chance of winning the Order of Merit I might think about going to Aintree, my lucky course.

"We might come back for one more next year but he won't have a lot more races," added Johnson.
