Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has said that he is eyeing the Premiership title after the Merseysiders' FA Cup triumph at the weekend.
Gerrard was in inspired form as the Reds twice came from behind to eventually win the cup on penalties.
Now the England midfielder has set his sights on league success and he believes that Liverpool have what it takes to become Premiership champions.
"We know we're capable of going very close to the title next season and that's going to be the target," Gerrard said.
"The more trophies like the FA Cup that you win, the more you want and we'll be giving it everything we've got to win the title next season."
Gerrard has returned home to spend two weeks with his family, which includes his one-week-old baby daughter, and rest before turning his attention towards the World Cup.
The midfielder's World Cup-bound teammate Djibril Cisse has also revealed that he will sit down with manager Rafael Benitez after the tournament to discuss his future.
The Frenchman has been constantly linked with a move away from the club, despite being Liverpool's top-scoring striker this season with 19 goals.
Cisse insists that he wants to stay at Anfield but he needs reassurances from the manager of his worth to the team.
"The boss hasn't said anything to me about the future so I will go to the World Cup and maybe afterwards he'll say something," Cisse said.
"Maybe after the World Cup I will sit down with the manager to discuss things, but me, I do not want to leave."
Liverpool manager Benitez will be in Paris on Wednesday to see who inherits the title of European champions from the Reds at the Champions League final between Barcelona and Arsenal.
