The family of the 18-year-old Harry Potter actor stabbed to death after a fight in Sidcup, London, have paid tribute to him and called for tougher action against knife crime in the capital.
Rob Knox, who had a small part in the next Harry Potter film - Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince - died shortly after his arrival at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital having been stabbed outside the Metro Bar in Station Road on Saturday.
Three other men were injured in the incident and Mr Knox's father today claimed his son was "always the first person to stand up to wrong".
Colin Knox read out a statement to reporters earlier on Sunday, saying: "It's impossible to convey the sadness and loss that we all feel but we now realise Rob touched many people's lives.
"Rob was happy, outgoing and a fun person to be with. He was the social hub of his large circle of friends."
"Rob always put everyone before himself, was always the first person to stand up against wrong. He achieved so much in his short life."
Metropolitan police confirmed yesterday that a man, aged 21, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a south London police station. He had previously been hospitalised after suffering facial injuries, which were not inflicted by a knife, it is believed.
Another 21-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the neck, while a 16-year-old male was stabbed in the chest during the incident. Although both men have sustained serious injuries, their wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.
A fourth man, whose age has been adjudged to be late teens or early 20s, was also hospitalised with a serious injury to the hand.
A police spokesman said officers were currently retaining an open mind concerning the motive behind the stabbings, but did not believe the fight was gang-related.
A statement from Warner Bros, the production company behind the Harry Potter films, said: "We are all shocked and saddened by this news and at this time our sympathies are with his family."
Yesterday, Rob's cousin, Vicky May, 16, said: "You never think it will happen to you. Rob wasn't a thug, it wasn't gang-related. Everyone loved him."
Mr Knox is the 14th teenager to die violently in London this year.
