Multiple casualties are being reported after a bus overturned in the village of Alton, near to the Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire.
It is believed the bus overturned after colliding with a car and fell about 45ft off a bridge over the River Churnet, near Farley Lane, Alton, just before 18:00BST.
Two air ambulances are attending the scene and a spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said 10 ambulance crews are also at the scene of the accident along with a further five rapid response units.
The spokesman said it was a "very fluid incident" and that at least three "very seriosuly injured people" had been taken to hospital already. He added inital reports suggested a further seven people remained trapped in the wreckage of the bus.
The spokesman added there were around a further 30 walking wounded.
It is beleived the bus passengers were non-native english speaking workers although this is yet to be confirmed. One witness said the workers had been on a day trip to Alton Towers and had traveled from near Peterborough.
The staff canteen at Alton Towers has been set aside as an emergency centre.
