Police have confirmed more body parts have been found in the Hertfordshire countryside.
The suspected body parts were found by a member of the public at 12:43 BST, and Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire constabulary's major crime unit is now at the scene.
Police were unable to say at this stage which body parts had been found.
This discovery comes after police announced last week they were working together with Leicestershire officers to investigate the murder of a man whose severed head, leg, and arm had been found in various spots throughout the two counties.
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire police said: "Police were called by a member of the public at 12:43 BST today to a lay-by on the north-bound carriageway of the A10 Puckeridge by-pass, near Puckeridge, after discovering suspected body parts there. The area has been cordoned off and a closure of lane one is in place.
"Detectives from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire major crime unit who are currently investigating the murder of a man whose body parts were found in Hertfordshire and Leicestershire are currently at the scene.
"It is too early to say at this stage exactly what has been found and specialist forensic and search teams will be in attendance to carry out a search of the area this afternoon."
A severed leg was found near Cottered a fortnight ago and an arm was found in the village of Wheathampstead the following weekend. The man's severed head was found in a field near Ashfordby, Leicestershire last Wednesday.
Police are still trying to determine the identity of the man.
