Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is to be a father for the fourth time, he announced on Twitter this afternoon.

Oliver, 34, who already has three daughters, Poppy, Daisy and Petal, with wife Jools said he was "so happy" about the news.

The chef tweeted: "Guess what.....I'm going to be a dad again!!! We're expecting, so happy, feel very lucky jxx"

Peter Berry, Oliver's publicist, also confirmed the news on the chef's official website, saying: "Jamie and Jools Oliver are delighted to announce that they are expecting their fourth child and Jools is due to give birth in September.

"The new addition to the family will either be a little brother or sister to Poppy, Daisy and Petal."

Oliver shot to fame with the Naked Chef TV series and has remained in the public eye ever since due to continued work on television and a series of high-profile campaigns including one to improve Britain's schoolchildren eating habits.

The 34-year-old is also the face of the Sainsbury's advertising campaign and owns a number of restaurants including the Jamie's Italian group.
