Two more people have claimed they suffered serious sexual abuse at a former youth hostel in Jersey, police said.
Forensic officers are conducting a painstaking search of the interior of Haut de la Garenne after a child's skull was found there on Saturday.
Today journalists were allowed inside the building for the first time as scene of crime officers excavated a stairwell.
Around 160 people have now come forward claiming they suffered child abuse at Haut de la Garenne over decades stretching back to the 1960s.
Jersey police said evidence corroborating their claims about the building's cellar had been discovered. These are believed to be a sunken bath and a pair of metal shackles.
Careful excavation of the cellar room will be completed before access is gained to a second bricked-up room. A third room is believed to be a possibility, while a trapdoor or opening of some kind leading to the cellars was discovered.
There were also reports bones had been found in the field behind the home which were being investigated. These may be animal bones, police cautioned.
One man, in his 70s, was arrested in connection with the historical child abuse probe on January 29th.
