A motorway collision between a coach and a lorry has left 50 people injured in Worcestershire.
Four people, including the coach driver, have been hospitalised following the crash which occurred between junctions 3 and 3a on the M42.
The driver, in his 40s, was airlifted to Selly Oak hospital in Birmingham as were a woman in her 50s and two men.
The lorry driver and 45 others were treated by ambulance crews at the nearby Warwick services.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "On arrival at the scene, crews found a coach and a lorry which had been in collision. The lorry suffered rear-end damage and the coach front-end damage.
"Clearly this had the potential to be a much more serious incident and West Midlands Ambulance Service called upon a large number of resources to ensure that all patients received the best possible treatment as quickly as possible."
