A British Airways flight from the UK to the US has been forced to make an emergency landing after a "burning smell" was detected.The Sunday flight from London's Heathrow airport to Houston was diverted to Chicago after staff reported the smell. A British Airways spokesperson said the smell was caused by a fault in a television screen and the problem had since been fixed.The passengers onboard flight BA195 were transferred at Chicago international airport onto a domestic flight, enabling them to continue their journey to Houston."We apologise for the inconvenience to passengers, but the crew did exactly the right thing in diverting as a precaution," a spokeswoman for the airline said.Chicago fire department officials said the British Airways plane had been secured without incident about an hour after it landed.
