Tottenham continued their impressive run under Harry Redknapp with a comfortable 1-0 win away at NEC Nijmegen in the Uefa Cup.
Jamie O'Hara's goal after 14 minutes was enough to earn Tottenham the win and they now only need a point in their home game against Spartak Moscow to guarantee their passage into the knockout stages.
Despite making six changes from the team that beat Blackburn on Sunday, Tottenham were excellent on the ball and deserved their win.
It didn't take Spurs long to score and it was a superbly worked goal. David Bentley's clever pass freed Gareth Bale down the left-wing and he played the ball into the box which Darren Bent poked on to the bar, luckily for Spurs O'Hara was on hand to head home the rebound.
NEC are eight in the Dutch league, but they very rarely looked like they could open up the Spurs defence. The closest they came to scoring was a long-range shot from Moestafa El-Kabir which Heurelho Gomes saved well. Chris Gunter did well to clear the follow-up effort from Jhon van Beukering.
Tottenham were comfortable throughout the game and hardly needed to get out of second gear as their opposition were of a poor standard. The English side created all the chances in the game and Bent saw a late header tipped over the bar by the NEC goalkeeper.
