In the wake of their early Champions League exit on Tuesday, Chelsea chairman Roman Abramovich has sanctioned a massive spending spree in the summer headed by the capture of Fernando Torres.
Abramovich and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti are concerned with the age of the squad and will attempt a major overhaul. Other possible arrivals include Sergio Aguero and David Villa.
According to reports however manager Carlo Ancelotti's job is safe as the Chelsea chairman challenges his flops to show they are worth their pay cheque.
Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has declared himself pleased that he has won a first team place at White Hart Lane but admits that he still may not be at the club next season.
The forward did seem to be on his way out of the club in January but has hit a rich vein of form over the last few weeks prompting a starting birth in Harry Redknapp's first eleven.
