John Terry has revealed he expects to return to action in Chelsea's FA Cup clash against Huddersfield next Saturday.

The England defender has not played since December after breaking a bone in his foot in the 1-0 defeat against Arsenal.

Terry said he is confident of playing against the League One side next weekend at Stamford Bridge.
"I did a full training session with the reserves today and two light ones the two previous days with the first team," Terry told Sky Sports.

"I joined in a little bit with the reserves and no reaction so far so I'm very pleased.

"Fitness-wise I'm probably a week to 10 days away. If I can get a good week's training under my belt maybe the weekend is a small possibility I think."

The 27-year-old watched his side held to a 0-0 draw against Liverpool today, a result which leaves them five points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race.

Blues skipper Terry has missed 14 games for the Blues. The defender also missed two months of Chelsea's season last year through injury.

His England captaincy also looks in doubt, as Steven Gerrard was named as skipper in the 2-1 win over Switzerland on Wednesday.
