Everton manager David Moyes has warned Manchester United off their highly rated versatile midfielder Jack Rodwell.
United have been heavily linked with the player for the last few months with Sir Alex Ferguson given front row seats to Rodwell's potential after the latter's goal in Everton's 3-1 win over the champions last week. Moyes however does not want to lose the player as he tries to build a top four squad.
Moyes said: "I think everyone will always look at your players but even if they come to me and say, 'Gaffer, I want to leave' I will still probably say no.
"Perhaps if someone made me an offer I thought was too good to turn down then maybe, but it is not about the money. I am not waiting for an offer - that's not what we are about."
Ashley Cole may look to leave Chelsea in the summer after growing frustrated with his treatment by the club in the wake of infidelity allegations in the press.
Cole is upset that his treatment has differed from the more sympathetic hearing given to John Terry last month. Cole could look to move abroad for a fresh start.
