Sir Alex Ferguson will sanction a massive clear out at Manchester United which will see Dimitar Berbatov ejected from Old Trafford, reports claim.
Other players to feel the heat will be Anderson, Nani, Zoran Tosic and Nemanja Vidic as the United manager finally loses patience with his underachieving stars.
Ferguson will then set about bringing in a set of new players to play at the theatre of dreams, starting with Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.
Reports have also suggested that United have put goalkeeper Ben Foster up for sale as the manager has finally run out of patience.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has admitted for the first time that he may be powerless to hold on to their two big stars in Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard if the club's financial situation fails to improve quickly. Liverpool are believed to be in millions worth of debt.
Jermaine Beckford may be able to aim his sights slightly higher following his transfer request made to Leeds last week.
Newcastle were believed to be the only club interested in the forward but it seems there may be interest from the Premiership in the form of Wolves and Sunderland, which is a new development that will excite the 26-year-old striker.
Sunderland forward Kenwyne Jones will reject a move to Birmingham so he can fight for his place and reputation at the Stadium of Light. But reports suggest that Rafa Benitez will offer a swap deal involving Ryan Babel for the forward, a deal which may interest manager Steve Bruce.
