According to reports in today's national papers Barcelona are keeping tabs on in form striker Jermain Defoe with the intention of making a bid in the summer.
The Spanish giants are known to be impressed by the England international and may consider recruiting the player despite their wealth of attacking options.
Liverpool winger Ryan Babel will be allowed to move away from Anfield in January to struggling German heavyweights Bayern Munich with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
Babel has expressed his dismay at his lack of opportunities at Liverpool and would jump at the chance of a move.
Spurs have been linked with another player, this time West Ham defender Matthew Upson.
The North London club have been plagued with injury concerns at their centre back position and are eager to reinforce that part of their squad.
And finally, Manchester City have been revealed as the latest club to show an interest in Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson. The young starlet has attracted major interest from several Premier League clubs.
