Manchester United will be hoping to continue their return to form against Stoke this weekend.
The champion's early season defeat to Burnley is looking more and more the freak result and the manner of their victory in the Manchester derby last weekend will only have breathed renewed confidence into the Old Trafford outfit.
Stoke, however, represent quite the obstacle.
The rough and rugged approach that secured top flight status last term is still the main strength. However the purchase of Tuncay from Middlesbrough brings a guile and creativity that should see them consolidate their place at English football's top table.
The Potters already have twice the number of points they had at the same stage last term and will be keen to celebrate Tony Pulis' 150th game of his second spell at the helm.
They have though been dealt a blow with the injuries to James Beattie (ankle) and Ricardo Fuller (groin) - doubtful - but do have former United defender Ryan Shawcross enjoying the form of his life.
Sir Alex Ferguson will keep faith with Ben Foster despite his antics against City and have no fresh injury concerns.
