No further action will be taken against two men arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice during the investigation into the death of Stephen Lawrence.
In December the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) arrested a 53-year-old member of police staff and a 62-year-old retired police constable.
The police watchdog is in the process of investigating concerns raised over the handling of police inquiries into the death of the 18-year-old black student in south-east London in 1993.
On Monday the IPCC announced in a short statement no further action will be taken against the two men.
The investigation as a whole is said to nearing its conclusion with its findings to be published in due course.
An internal Metropolitan police review discovered material from 1993 had allegedly not been disclosed to either the Kent inquiry in 1997 or the Macpherson report in 1999 into the police's handling of Mr Lawrence's murder.
The IPCC is investigating whether this material was considered by the original investigation and why it was allegedly not disclosed to either inquiry.
No-one has ever been convicted of the murder of Stephen Lawrence with a review by Sir William Macpherson describing the Met as "institutionally racist" due to its handling of the case.
