Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp lauded winger Gareth Bale for his man of the match performance against Chelsea in Tottenham Hotspur's 2-1 win over their London rivals.
Redknapp was delighted with his team's performance and in particular Bale's contribution as the Welsh international scored one but could have had a hat'trick.
A Jermian Defoe penalty gave Spurs the lead before Bale got his goal. A late Frank Lampard goal threatened to spark a Chelsea fight-back but Tottenham held on.
Redknapp commented on bale: "He's an amazing athlete, he can run all day he has everything. He has ability, pace can head it he can run, shoot I can play him left back or left wing. He has everything."
On reflecting on the game Redknapp was happy to secure the win as a succession of missed chances from the home side threatened to undermine their chances.
"They have been fantastic especially following the disappointment last Sunday to come back and put in two unbelievable performances against Arsenal and Chelsea was tremendous.
"We had to raise our game to beat them today, for the first 30 minutes we completely dominated and missed some great chances second half."
