Tottenham Hotspur eased the pressure on boss Martin Jol with a 6-1 thumping of Anorthosis Famagusta in the first leg of their first round Uefa Cup tie.
Younes Kaboul, Michael Dawson, Robbie Keane and Darren Bent gave Spurs a 4-0 lead at the break.
Substitute Jermain Defoe completed the rout with two goals while Anton Zlogar netted the consolation for the Cypriot side.
Spurs made the perfect start on five minutes with centre-back Kaboul meeting Tom Huddlestone's corner with a bullet header.
The hosts then fired in four goals in the space of four minutes to effectively book their place in the qualifying stages of the tournament.
Pascal Chimbonda nodded down Keane's header into the path of Dawson to poke it over the line on 39 minutes.
Three minutes before the break, Keane made it 3-0 after controlling Benoit Assou-Ekotto's pass on the edge of the box before firing home on the turn.
Spurs continued to go goal-crazy with Bent scoring his second goal of the season after turning the ball in from a tight angle.
Defoe replaced skipper Keane on 62 minutes and 90 seconds later got his name on the scoresheet.
The England striker controlled a loose ball on the edge of the area and dinked a looping effort past the goalkeeper.
In a rare attack, the vocal visiting support finally had something to cheer when Zlogar toe-poked the ball past a flat-footed Radek Cerny to make it 5-1.
Defoe repeated the trick in the 90th minute after turning on the edge of the box and arrowing his strike into the top corner.
