Actor Jeremy Sheffield has been confirmed as the third celebrity to leave the current series of Dancing on Ice after a skate-off.
The Holby City star was the unanimous judges' choice to depart the show after being bested in the bottom two by former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies.
"I'm disappointed obviously but I'm ever so slightly relieved that I'm not going to be in so much pain," said former ballet dancer Sheffield after being voted off the ITV1 programme.
"It's still scary, just trying to coordinate my feet at that speed," he added.
"I want to be in control, and that's never going to work."
Sheffield had not achieved the worst score of the night - that ignominious honour going to GMTV's Dr Hilary Jones, with 7.5 points out of 30 - but found himself in the bottom two after the public vote.
The 43-year-old was then the unanimous choice to leave the ice after Davies impressed the judges with her dance to Natasha Bedingfield's These Words.
Sheffield's departure means the remaining male celebrities in the competition are actors Kieron Richardson, Gary Lucy and Danny Jones, Dr Jones, and Boyzone member Mikey Graham.
The remaining female skaters are Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana, charity campaigner Heather Mills, and actresses Daniella Westbrook, Emily Atack and Hayley Tamaddon, who gained the highest score at the weekend.
