International prop forward Jamie Thackray has left Hull FC to join up with former Great Britain coach Brian Noble at Welsh side Crusaders.
The 30-year-old leaves the KC Stadium after two years to sign on at the Racecourse Ground, and looks set to face one of his former sides Leeds Rhinos on his debut for the club in their season-opener in two weeks time.
"I'm very much looking forward to it, especially as the first game is against my old club Leeds Rhinos," Thackray said.
"What better way is there to start?
"I'm delighted to have signed for the Crusaders. I've played under Brian and [coach] Jon [Sharp] for Great Britain but I'm looking forward to working for assistant head coach Iestyn [Harris] for the first time.
"Everyone speaks highly of this new coaching team at the Crusaders and I can't wait to get started."
Thackray has played 180 times in Super League for four clubs - Leeds, Hull, Castleford Tigers and Halifax. He also has three caps for Great Britain, which he won in 2005.
The Welsh club have also announced the signing of former New Zealand rugby union player Vince Mellars from Super 14 side Crusaders.
