Prop Ryan O'Hara has been appointed as the captain of Crusaders Rugby League for the 2010 Super League season.

O'Hara was voted Crusaders' player of the year for their inaugural Super League season in 2009 and has been handed the armband by new head coach Brian Noble.

"I can't wait to get started," said the Australian-born forward.

"It's been a long and difficult pre-season with plenty of changes.

"But we've been trained well and we're now looking forward to getting out onto the park and playing some footy."

The Welsh side will kick-off this year's campaign at home to defending champions Leeds Rhinos on Friday at their new home, the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham.
