Donington Ventures Leisure Limited (DVLL) have announced that they have employed the services of business big-shot Jayne McGivern to help speed things up.
DVLL, which is headed by Simon Gillett, are responsible for developing the Donington Park circuit in time to host the 2010 British grand prix.
But doubts about whether the track will be ready in time are still hanging over the scheme, as adequate funding for the project is yet to be found.
In response to these doubts, DVLL has enlisted Jayne McGivern, who was responsible for transforming Wembley Stadium as well as the Millenium Dome into the O2 concert arena, to ensure that Donington deliver the grand prix in 2010.
In a statement, DVLL said: "Jayne is a highly-respected businesswoman who is credited with turning around the Wembley project and was heavily involved in the purchasing of the Millennium Dome from the government to convert it into the O2 Arena."
"Her appointment is a further signal of Donington Park's strong commitment to delivering a high-quality, fan-friendly Formula One event.
"Jayne will ensure that all of the new work on-site is completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards," DVLL continued.
