Today's transfer news is dominated by forwards, with Spurs, Manchester United and Blackburn all hitting the headlines.

Manchester United are tracking Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz after Sir Alex Ferguson got in touch with his former captain Paul Ince about the player this week.

Santa Cruz has been hesitant to put an end to speculation that he could leave Rovers this summer after enjoying an excellent first season in England.

And Ferguson apparently views the Paraguayan forward as a cut-price option since Tottenham Hotspur have set the fee for Dimitar Berbatov unrealistically high.

With United cooling their interest in the Bulgarian, it appears there is some interest from abroad however.

Barcelona, having ditched their pursuit of Andrei Arshavin, are turning their attention to other options in attack and Berbatov appears to fit the bill for the Catalan giants.

And with this news it seems the days of Samuel Eto'o at the Nou Camp are numbered, especially as several Premier League teams have made contact with his club.

Manchester City, Liverpool and, coincidentally, Blackburn Rovers are all reported to be tracking the Cameroon international.
