Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano looks set to join Barcelona for around £30 million after personal terms were agreed between the player and the club.
After several rumours over the season it is now quite clear that Mascherano will not be at the Merseyside club much longer.
Manchester United and Chelsea will both fight it out for £20 million rated Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell.
United are also interested in bringing in Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko for around £20 million and Bayern Munich right back Philipp Lahm.
The forward scored at Old Trafford in the Champions League this season whilst the right back would provide ample cover for the ageing Gary Neville.
According to reports Manchester City have agreed a £36 million deal to sign highly rated midfielder Angel di Maria in January. The Benfica winger has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs over the past month but according to latest transfer rumours City appear to have won the race.
Birmingham City are interested in bringing in Celtic playmaker Aiden McGeady. The Midlands club are flush with cash after Carson Yeung's takeover and looking to bolster their squad.
Forgotten England international Darius Vassell who currently ply's his trade in Turkey could be on his way back to the Premiership via Bolton. A source close to the player has confirmed: "Darius is not too sure about his future in Turkey now. He is looking at all of his options and would consider moving to Bolton."
Adam Johnson has been told by manager Gordon Strachan that he cannot leave Middleborough in January despite intense interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
