Manchester City star Robinho has reiterated his desire to join Barcelona sometime in the future in an interview on a Brazilian radio station.
The forward, who has been the subject of intense speculation over the last few weeks, has confirmed that a move to Spain would interest him but that he would not want to upset his current employers by forcing a move.
Robinho said: "I'm very happy for the interest that Barcelona have shown in me because playing at the Nou Camp is much easier to be the best player in the world than to do so at City."
He added: "I'm not trying to force my departure from England, and I have no problem with my coach.
"My level of football had a drop in performance and I'm very aware that I have to improve. I think now is the time I explode."
Thierry Henry may be the next player willing to try his hand in the USA with a move to Major League side New York Red Bulls.
The American side are interested in bringing Henry in as their marquee signing for next season, but Manchester City have also expressed interest in the former Arsenal man - though if Henry would appear again in the Premier League for a team other than Arsenal remains to be seen.
Across the city at Manchester United - and their fledging right-back Danny Simpson will quit the club due to a lack of first team opportunities. Simpson is currently on loan at Newcastle.
