Despite the looming climax to this season's La Liga, Barcelona's Eidur Gudjohnsen is already thinking about his next big campaign.
The Barcelona striker has expressed enthusiasm about a move back to the Premiership and it seems Manchester United are among the movers and shakers vying for the Icelandic international's attention.
Such frenetic activity at Old Trafford is winding up Liverpool fans, but co-owner George Gillett has calmed those loyal to Anfield by saying Rafa Benitez will be allowed to get the club chequebook out soon.
So far the only confirmed additions to Benitez's first-team squad are Gremio's Lucas Leiva and Bayer Leverkusen's Andrey Voronin. Gillett insists that will all change soon, however.
The ongoing Darren Bent transfer saga deserves a mention. Today it's West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson to moan about the last-minute collapsed deal for the Charlton striker. Elsewhere, Jamie McCunnie is on the move from Dunfermline to Hartlepool United.
Tottenham are looking forward to getting hold of Swedish talent Christian Wilhelmsson but it seems they will have to fight other clubs to get him.
And Chelsea defender Geremi is being eyed by his former club Middlesbrough.
