Some of the rumours doing the rounds in the transfer gossip mills today are focused on who Kevin Keegan's first new signing at Newcastle United will be.
And much of the talk seems to be centred on Tottenham Hotspur forwards Jermain Defoe and Darren Bent, who have both been told they can leave the club for the right price.
Another possible signing for Keegan is an assistant.
And while Alan Shearer is hotly tipped to take up a position in the Magpies backroom staff, former Fulham player under Keegan Chris Coleman is another option after he left Real Sociedad this week.
Real Madrid have vowed not to give up the chase for Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo, who continues to light up the Premier League this season.
While another of the Premier League's top foreign stars, Chelsea's Didier Drogba could be on the verge of leaving London as Barcelona and AC Milan are both ready to bid.
However, in news that may soften the blow of the Ivorian's possible departure, Chelsea have vowed to sign either Kaka or Ronaldinho if Drogba feels he must leave.
