Chelsea will bid £40 million at the end of the season for Alexandre Pato. The AC Milan forward would be linking up with former manger Carlo Ancelotti as the new Chelsea boss looks to build for the long-term.
West Ham will offer James Collins to Aston Villa to fund a deal for Marouane Chamakh. Gianfranco Zola is desperate to raise the cash for the Moroccan striker after Collins refused a £5 million move to Stoke.
If the Collins deal goes through, West Ham will offer Bordeaux £7 million plus a 20 per cent sell-on clause for Chamakh.
Villa may lose out on Sylvain Distin if Joleon Lescott moves to Man City. Everton manager David Moyes will look to make a late move for the Portsmouth defender if he loses Lescott.
Tottenham will bid £2 million for Pompey and England goalkeeper David James.
Phil Brown will table a £4 million offer to bring Portsmouth flop David Nugent to Hull.
However, a player who could be on his way in to Fratton Park is Lens striker Aruna Dindane.
Wigan are close to securing a deal for £3 million-rated Crystal Palace teenager Victor Moses.
Aston Villa's Craig Gardner could be moving to arch-rivals Birmingham for £3.5 million.
Wolves are confident of signing Amdy Faye from Stoke City.
Hibernian defender Souleymane Bamba could be on his way to Anfield after Liverpool expressed an interest.
And Tottenham have offered a trial to Le Havre midfielder Kevin Anin.
