Riquelme is keen to leave Villarreal - could it be for Spurs?

All the gossip today revolves around Tottenham Hotspur, who we all thought had done enough spending for most of the Premier League earlier this summer.
Even after spending £40 million already, manager Martin Jol is still looking for more help in midfield in the shape of Juan Roman Riquelme.
The Argentinean playmaker is currently unsettled at Villarreal and is hoping for a move to the club he is currently on loan to - Boca Juniors.
Although according to the player's agent, Spurs' offer is the only one on the table and Villarreal are keen to cash in on the unsettled star.
All this is not the biggest news from White Hart Lane however, as Sevilla coach Juande Ramos is rumoured to be in line to take over from Jol even before this weekend's next Premier League game against Manchester United.
United themselves are in something of a crisis at the moment too - or as much of a crisis as there has been at Old Trafford for the last couple of years - they can't score goals.
To correct this Sir Alex Ferguson may look towards Middlesbrough striker Yakubu, who is apparently keen to secure a move away from the Teesside club and reportedly missed training today.
Bolton defender Abdoulaye Faye is on the verge of completing his move from Newcastle United to Bolton Wanderers after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £2 million.
And former Manchester United striker Andrew Cole could be on the verge of a mini reunion at Sunderland, with manager Roy Keane - also a former team-mate - keen to reunite him with former strike partner Dwight Yorke, even though the Trinidadian now plays in midfield.
