Chelsea star Didier Drogba has suggested he is not yet ready to leave the Premier League club, despite reports of a lucrative offer from Shanghai Shenhua.

The Ivorian striker told France Football magazine he intends to stay at Stamford Bridge until at least this summer, when his contract with the Blues expires.

Shenhua, who have already signed Nicolas Anelka from Chelsea, are thought to have offered Drogba a three-year deal worth £267,000 per week.

The 33-year-old admitted he has missed the "fun, shivers, fervour, pressure and passion on the pitch" in recent months, but said he will take time to consider his future.

"Does it mean departure from Chelsea? Not before next June," Drogba told the magazine.

Recent reports suggest the west London club could negotiate a 12-month contract extension with Drogba, but will not offer him a longer deal.

The former Marseille star has scored 98 Premier League goals in 217 games for Chelsea since 2004.
