The presence of David Beckham in the 2009 MLS Cup final in Seattle this Sunday has prompted organisers to make an extra 6,000 tickets available, it has been announced.
The game at Qwest Field in Washington state was already a sell-out of 36,000 before the weekend's two semi-final games.
However, since a Beckham free-kick set up Greg Berhalter to open the scoring for Galaxy against Houston Dynamos and Landon Donovan put his side through with a penalty, demand for tickets to see American soccer's most famous import has rocketed.
As a result, stadium bosses have opted to open an additional tier and put an additional 6,000 tickets on the market.
Qwest Field, which is most famous as the home of the Seattle Sounders baseball team and the NFL franchise Seattle Seahawks, can hold up to 67,000 people at full capacity.
Beckham missed England's 1-0 defeat to Brazil in Qatar on Saturday in order to play for his club side in their MLS Cup semi-final, hoping to guide the team to their first title in four seasons before heading to AC Milan on loan until next summer.
