Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson slammed the decision-making of the referee and praised the performance of CSKA Moscow's goalkeeper as his side scraped a 3-3 draw in the Champions League.
The result means United have qualified for the knockout stages with two games to spare, but Sir Alex was in no mood to celebrate as he dwelled on the referee's refusal to award Darren Fletcher a penalty early in the second half.
Fletcher was booked for diving in the CSKA penalty box after United went 3-1 behind.
The United manager said: "I can't believe [the penalty decision]. I just do not believe it. It's one of the worst I've seen in my lifetime."
But Ferguson was full of praise for CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who made a string of fine second-half saves.
He said: "CSKA were fantastic at the end. Their keeper made some great saves."
Akinfeev, who is just 23, has been linked with United in the past and his fine performance will do nothing to dampen speculation that he is bound for Old Trafford.
