Cesc Fabregas is expected to return to the Arsenal midfield this weekend for the visit of West Ham United, but William Gallas remains out with an injury dubbed by Arsene Wenger as "endless".
Fabregas has been missing since scoring the first goal in a 3-1 defeat of Burnley on March 6th with a hamstring injury.
The Gunners captain is fit again, however, and expected to pass a fitness test tomorrow to feature in Saturday's starting line-up alongside the returning Tomas Rosicky (groin) and Alex Song (suspension).
Former skipper Gallas has already missed the last six games with a calf injury and Wenger revealed that he is likely to sit out at least the next two.
"Cesc and Tomas have a final test tomorrow morning. They should be available for Saturday," the Frenchman told the club's online TV channel.
"From the last game we don't lose anybody. So normally we should have Fabregas, Carlos Vela and Rosicky back. Plus of course we have Song coming back from suspension.
"However William Gallas will not be available this week or at Birmingham. It is going on and on. It is a concern.
"It is an endless calf strain and so we need Sol Campbell and Mikael Silvestre to be highly ready to help us out."
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League with 64 points from 30 games. Chelsea are on the same number of points having played one game less, while Manchester Untied top the table with 66 points from 30 games.
The title is out of Arsenal's hands however after they lost all four league games against Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Blues are set to visit Old Trafford on April 3rd in a potential title decider.
