Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner faces up to a month on the sidelines after undergoing groin surgery in Germany this morning.
The Danish international was forced off during the first half of the north London derby at the Emirates Stadium on October 31st and has subsequently missed the last two games.
Bendtner had just come back from a similar problem when he played against Spurs.
Speaking at the time the injury was sustained, Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: "Losing Bendtner is a big blow. I played him against Tottenham because he is strong in the air.
"It gives us more variety in our games because we can lose possession, yet still win the next header with Bendtner. He makes us dangerous at set-pieces and so we can change our game a little bit."
The 21-year-old Dane has largely operated on the right side of Arsenal's free-flowing attack this season and with him facing a month on the sidelines, Wenger will be keen to get Theo Walcott back to fitness following a knee injury.
Ahead of the Gunners' 4-1 win at Wolves last Saturday, the Frenchman confirmed the England winger is expected to return to training this month.
