To keep up to date on all the latest news from Super League, inthenews.co.uk are bringing you regular weekly updates courtesy of Harlequins' star stand-off Danny Orr.
In this week's update on inthenews.co.uk, Danny fills us in on training through the pain barrier and the frustration of watching on from the sidelines... or his lounge.
"The first thing to mention is that the injury that kept me out last week - which was just a slight strain - doesn't look like it'll keep me out this week. Fingers crossed I should have a good chance of playing if all goes well in the final training session.
I've gradually built up training as the week's gone on. It started off with light training but got harder (and better) as the week went on.
It wasn't a major injury - I had a tough training session close to the game against Catalans and although I maybe could have played Mac decided not to risk it. As a result I didn't travel with the squad to France and stayed at home to rest up.
Watching the game on TV was a bit weird really - it was strange not feeling part of the whole atmosphere.
Normally if you're injured you still get to sit in the stands and watch the rest of the boys slug it out so, in a way, you are still involved. But last week wasn't like that - I still watched the game but it was with my wife and kids at home.
I'm not the best of spectators - especially when it's my own team playing. I had to bite my tongue a couple of times around the children, and overall it's not a nice feeling when you're not involved. I hate missing games, even missing training sessions bothers me, so it wasn't particularly pleasant to be honest.
I suppose the only plus point is that watching a game on TV gives you a slightly different perspective of everything. With all the different camera angles they have you can pick up a few things. When you're involved in the match everything happens at a quick pace and it's difficult to get a view of all that's going on around you so hopefully, having taken a step back last week, I can use that as extra preparation for St Helens this week.
Turning the attention towards this Saturday's match - it's going to be a tough one.
You always treat each game with equal importance throughout the season but whenever you're playing St Helens you know you're in for a challenge. If you don't play at your best you've got no chance but we're fully prepared and we'll be going all out to get the win.
Obviously Saints lost last week but that doesn't necessarily mean now's a good time to play them. For some reason, in the last few years, I have seemed to play St Helens after they've come off the back of a defeat and they always bounce back strongly. It's up to us to meet that.
People are pointing to our injury problems at the moment but Saints have their own - Wello [Paul Wellens] is out and James Roby is out so they've got a few too and they're missing some key players
They've got such a strong squad that missing those sorts of players doesn't affect them as much as some others in the league, but we're confident that if we play to our best then we can get the win this week."
