A blast at a South Korean weapons research institute has killed one person and injured another five, reports claim.
It is believed the blast happened when artillery shells were being tested, with the five injured believed to be seriously hurt.
The incident happened in Pocheon, about 30 miles from the northeast of the capital Seoul. The institute is also close to the North Korean border.
"There was an explosion when our people were testing a fuse for shells," an agency spokeswoman told AFP news agency, adding the institute is trying to determine the cause.
