Simeon Williamson has been picked alongside Dwain Chambers to compete for Great Britain in the 60 metres at the World Indoor Championships next month.
Williamson, who trains with Chambers, has been named in the second wave of selections after Craig Pickering dropped out due to a hamstring injury.
Pickering and Williamson were set to go head-to-head in a recent Birmingham meeting but Pickering was forced to withdraw due to a virus and has now had his indoor season ended with this latest injury.
The 22-year-old finished second behind Chambers in the trials and will take his place in the Valencia event with the controversial sprinter.
Chambers was automatically selected after winning the event, although the decision caused widespread discontent as the sprinter has served a two-year drugs ban.
UK Athletics were against the selection but Chambers has received support from many British athletes, although it is reported that many refuse to comment publicly.
Williamson, who improved his personal best over 60m to 6.57 seconds recently, said after finishing second in the trials: "Dwain has done his time and I have no problem with him running."
Other inclusions in the GB squad announced today were the 5,000 metre silver medalist Mo Farah and the former Commonwealth 1,500 metre champion Michael East.
